Fraud – Forgery and Criminal Impersonation

Fraud, RCW 9A.60, encompasses a variety of crimes including Forgery, RCW 9A.60. 020, and Criminal Impersonation, RCW 9A.60.040. Forgery is defined as with intent to injure or defraud falsely make, complete or alter a written instrument or possess, offer, dispose, or put off as true a written instrument he knows to be forged. RCW 9.35.020 defines Identity Theft as knowingly possess, obtain, use or transfer a means of identification or financial information of another person, alive or dead, with intent to commit, aid or abet, any crime.
